Our family is growing...

...by a puppy of course, were you thinking otherwise?

This is Miley and she is the newest member to our family.
She is very cute and adorable...until you get near her and then
she attacks with those sharp puppy teeth.
Noah is loving Miley! She really has been great and I think she will
eventually be a great dog.
She is a hunting dog and the breed is a "small munsterlander".
Cory has really gotten into pheasant hunting these past few years
and really wanted a dog for this purpose.

It's Back....

...winter has returned. Many of you that read this can probably just open your doors and look out at this winter wonderland but I thought I would post some pictures to share with those less fortunate of receiving such beautiful winter snowfall.
(Yes, there is a little sarcasm in my typing)

Can you read that? Yes, 12 inches.(just outside our front door) The radio station was heard saying they had measured 19 inches. Not sure of the official total snowfall yet.

I thought it was safe to put out the lawn furniture. Apparently not, winter has taken a seat on my chair.

This would be a mouse eye view from our garage floor.

Cool Shades and Harry Potter?

Noah and I were outside this afternoon and it was sunny so we broke out the cool shades!
The "Harry Potter" Glasses are from my Grandma Bev's house. I think they may have been my Grandpa's?

Bonfire!

Saturday was absolutely beautiful here and we were out enjoying it. Cory was burning brush all afternoon from the trees they cut down last fall. So we had a last minute bonfire/grilling party with the family. It was really fun and some of us were out until after 11pm enjoying the nice weather, the warm fire, the full moon and No Bugs!!
Not for long though, those bugs will find us, they always do.
We are definitely enjoying our new location and our backyard. Come over and enjoy a bonfire with us sometime.

Work Weekend at G & G Reinertson's

We were down visiting G & G Reinertson a few weeks ago. Cory worked on the Garage and Noah was not far behind. He loves to be with his daddy and he also loves to take things out of his tool pouch. He was busy handing Cory nail after nail after nail!

All Smiles at the Minnesota Zoo!

Cory had to be in the Twin Cities on Monday for some classes so we all went down on Sunday and spent the afternoon at the Minnesota Zoo.

Noah gives us this big cheesy grin every time
the camera comes out. He shuts his eyes and shows us his teeth!

My two cheesy smiling Boys!

Cheesy Mom had to show her smile too!

Easter with the Reinertson's!

We were at Grandma & Grandpa Reinertson's for Easter.
Noah loved being the center of attention!

Noah was all spiffed up for Church.
He looks happy about it, right?

The Grand kids, minus 2.
We missed you Amelia & Torunn!

Noah loved playing with his big cousin Ashley.

I have finally taken the time to upload pictures to our blog.
It once again has been awhile. So you will have to
browse through the new
entries. Noah continues to keep us
busy and on our toes.

Last Saturday Cory worked, so Noah and I went out
to the lake and did some sledding.
It was finally a warm enough day to be outside.

Noah seemed to like being pulled on the sled.

We even got my parents dog "Karly" to pull the sled.
It didn't last long though.

Here are the Veum boys. We were at the Pizza Ranch.

Most of the pictures I try to capture end up looking like this.
No one likes to sit still long enough.

Here is our big boy learning to color. He loves sitting in the big chair. He mostly just plays with the crayons and eats them on occasion. But you have to learn somehow, right?

Great Grandma Bev was over and Noah had the pleasure of reading stories with her. Grandma Bev is a wonderful story teller. She had Noah just giggling from the noises she was making. She is a very animated story teller. I could still sit and listen to a story read by Grandma Bev. She just has a way of captivating you as she tells the story. Thanks Grandma Bev!

Kitchen Before Pictures

This is the wall we took out and moved the fridge to the other wall.

This is the wall now with the opening and fridge.

We took out the small window and put in a patio door.
A deck will come some day!

Kitchen After

This is where the fridge was. It opened the whole room up by taking down the cupboards and moving the fridge.

This is our new hardwood flooring. Much improved from the old ones.

We have not finished this side. There will be a desk area under the opening and a pantry/broom closet where the boxes are sitting.

Cory cut this hole in the kitchen wall. This is looking in from the living area.

This is looking at the kitchen from the dining room.
We pretty much gutted the whole kitchen and this is the end result!
