9 Months Old!

Look at this happy kid! Notice I am smiling too, we have turned a page into a new chapter! Contentment.....
Noah turned 9 months old on April 14Th. He has changed so much these past few weeks. He is actually starting to be more content. I can be in the kitchen and he will be playing in the living room with his toys and he is happy. He has been so much fun! He is almost crawling, he is a pro at the backwards scoot. He will get on his hands and knees and attempt to move his hand and leg but then ends up in a nose dive. We had his evaluation in Fargo at Merit Care this month and the Dr's were impressed with his progress. He scored in the 90's with his cognitive and small motor abilities. (I think that is what they called it?) Way to go Noah, we knew that large head was filled with lots of brain power! (He scores in the 98Th percentile for his head measurements!) The following pictures are of his first campfire at the lake, notice the calm lake behind Cory and my Dad. The others are of Noah riding in his first set of wheels, he knew exactly where those hands go. The last are of swinging in the park!

Visiting Great Grandma Mary!

My Grandma Mary had double knee surgery today, so we went to visit her tonight. She looked great and she said she was feeling pretty good. Things went very smoothly today and Grandma was in good spirits tonight!

Noah with Grandpa Virgil. Noah was full of smiles!
Please keep my Grandma in your prayers these next few weeks as she recovers.

All Smiles!

It was beautiful outside on Saturday so we went for a walk.

Although it is not always all smiles.
He had a 3 hour crying episode
the other day, he finally just crashed.
So did I!
Playing peek-a-boo with Daddy.

Grandma Bev!

My cousin Tiffany was home to spend
the week with my Grandma Bev and
she stopped by to see us in Fergus.

Grandma Bev was feeling better and
was at my parents for a few hours last week.
She is holding Noah and Bodin here.

My Dad offered her his hat to wear
to keep her head warm. Grandma
declined the offer but tried it on for us all anyway! Looking good Grandma!
Grandma Bev starts another round of
treatments tomorrow and this should
be the last one before surgery. Continue to keep her in your prayers!

Busy Weekend!

We had a busy weekend of traveling. Cory had a continuing education class in Edina on Friday. So we left for the cities Thursday afternoon and met Marty & Jeanette for dinner. We stayed in Edina Thursday night and then we dropped Cory off at his class Friday morning and Noah and I headed to the Mall!
After Cory's class we then headed to Albert Lea to visit G & G Reinertson. Noah's first visit at their house. We spent the day Saturday at G & G 's store. ( They own an Embroidery Store in Albert Lea. http://www.reinertsonsembroidery.com/)
Saturday evening we then traveled to Decorah, Iowa to meet up with Cory's Aunt and Uncle, Ruth and Kenneth. We met them at the Pizza Ranch for dinner. Then back to Minnesota and a stop at Cory's other Aunt and Uncle, Arlene and Darold. We were busy, busy, busy!!! But Noah did great for all the car riding we did. On our way home Sunday we had to stop for a quick break to let Noah stretch out a little. By that time he was sick of the car.

Great Uncle Kenneth and Great Aunt Ruth

Great Aunt Arlene feeding him candy!

Noah driving in the cities...... no, just taking a break from the car seat.

Noah asleep at Grandma's store!

8 Months Old Today!

Noah at 4 days old

Noah at 8 months old

Well our little Noah is 8 Months old today! But there is not much little about him anymore. He loves to eat "real food" and could careless about his bottle. He is full of spunk and Cory says he is as stubborn as his mother! There may be a little truth to that but I still have most of my stubbornness so it can not be all from me.
Noah is a bundle of emotions and can be happy one moment and screaming mad the next. As long as we know what he wants he is just fine! So my question is how do you know what an 8 month old wants???? Oh how I love this little man, he has stirred up our lives in a way we never thought possible and I wouldn't want it any other way. He is our Blessing from God!

Here is something you Moms may enjoy reading. I received it as a forward from a friend.
Before I was a Mom I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.
Before I was a Mom- I had never been puked on.
Pooped on.
Chewed on.
Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts.
I slept all night.
Before I was a Mom I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests.
Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.
Before I was a Mom I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put them down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt.
I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.
Before I was a Mom-I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body.
I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy.
Before I was a Mom-I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom.

The Blow Out!

Due to the graphic nature of this post please scroll carefully!
Started with supper and a whole
lot of pushing and grunting.

Not so bad, with the sounds he
made I was preparing for worse!

We discover more, oh no! This is
not the worst of it. He had it up to
his neck and there was no easy
way to take the clothes off without
spreading it around.

We ended up in the bath because
we got it EVERYWHERE!

Why did I make this a photo op you ask?
I am not sure? Just had the camera near by I guess!

Noah's Newest Trick!

Noah has been learning to sit up
on his own and he finally did it today!

I think he is liking his freedom.

Look at him, what a big boy!

Bodin's Baptism

Bodin was Baptised today.

We dressed in alike colors but
this was not planned.

Keisha's Brother Kelley, his wife Janet,
and Cory and I are Bodin's Sponsors.

We had lunch at Dessica & Shawn's
house after church.

And God Said.....Let there be snow!!!!!

We woke up to a winter wonderland of snow,
or maybe not to wonderful for some.

Like those who have to shovel it all by hand!

Saved by Uncle Art's snow blower!
With more snow on the way,
I am sure this will need to be done again.

Emma loves the fresh snow!

Catching Up!

I was a little behind in the blogging world so there are quite a few new posts added, so scroll on down and check them all out!

Play Date!

"I think I would like your Nuk Breiden!"

"Oh no what did I do?"

"Sorry Breiden!"

"Buddies again!"

My friend Nancy and her little boy Breiden (born January 19Th) came over for the afternoon.
It was more a play date for us Moms then it was for the boys. We had good conversation while sipping on Carmel Nut Lattes! It won't be long and the boys will be running circles around us and then no more sipping Lattes! Thanks for the visit Nancy, we had a great time.
